I now have lovely bunches of these small blue flowers appearing at various locations in my son's garden, but haven't a clue what they are. Started appearing a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone have any ideas what they might be. I planted forget-me-nots a while ago but don't think this is them.

They are Chionodoxa. I've got just two little flowers in my garden and hope they increase by next Spring. They are so pretty.

They're really nice, are they shade tolerant?

they don't mind being under trees as the leaves are not out yet. but not in deep shade from a wall/fence, in my experience.

That's true Owd I'd forgotten that. Have you settled into your new home yet or are you still living out of boxes?
Either way they are still a lovely plant and still listed under their own name in many bulb catalogues. Some growers/producers are relatively slow to change; bit like me!

Thanks for the replies everyone. There are lots of them growing in two distinct areas so must have been planted by previous owner. Guess the forget-me-nots went to plant heaven.

Best place for Forget me nots too! Seed weeds of the first order.
