When we log on to GoY, we see a stunning feature photo. Please can you tell me how to add these to my favourites? There must be a better way than going through all the photos of the owner . . . thanks.

By feature photo, do you mean the pics you see when you click on to the top left of the page ...
... Grows on You...gardening with friends.. tree ?

When you log on and the same happens to me, you see new photos put on by members, just click on the photo that you like Sheila and there you are looking at the newest photo that that member has put on???!!! Is that what you mean?

You can save it to your computer if you want, Sheila, by right-clicking on it and then clicking 'Save Picture'. If you do this you get the whole picture, not the numbers or words.

Thanks for all your replies - interesting! I'll try for clarification. When I want to access this site, I type www.growsonyou.com at the top of my screeen, and the site appears with a large picture (presumably a favourite of one of the editors: a different one is used every few days); above the picture are the words "Grows on You a community for garden lovers." It shows the avatar of the member who submitted the photo, with words on the bottom left: today it says "cottage garden ideas" 1, 2, 3, 4 etc., and on the right Spritzhenry's name and avatar and the words "The front of the cotta.." by Spritzhenry. This is BEFORE you log on with your own Username and password . . . try it and you'll see what I mean.

I often think I'd like to save the picture to my favourites ON THIS SITE, but if I right-click as you suggest Pip c, I can only save it to my computer! Phew.

Yes, that is the same as I mentioned above... the picture you reach by clicking on the top left of this page ... click near the GoY tree ...

If you would like to suggest the idea of saving those pics. directly to your favourites, click on Contact Us at the base of this page, and you can give your idea to Peter and Ajay.

I hope this helps :o)

Just followed Pip's instructions and saved it......but not sure where sheilabub? Good suggestion TT. It seems to me these pictures rotate but not sure of interval for each one. The thumbnails below also rotate but as Your News clicked first of all......I seldom glance further down. Not complaining just an observation.

Right Terra t . . . just clicked at the top as you said, and YES, that is the picture I mean. OK, thank you - you've solved the problem by telling me that at present it's NOT possible to put the pic into our favourites. So maybe now I will ask Peter and Ajay... grateful for your help. :o))

Hi Sheila ... I'm glad that helps :o)

Sheila, my version of saving was different because when I log on to here I always click Goy which is saved on my favourites ,I keep these faves. here because its easier and quicker to log on rather than putting in www. etc each time. Still glad its sorted for you!!

I have a star on the left of my toolbar that says favorites and clicking on this brings up either items i've stored as favorites or my history which is that day /week or previous weeks so I acces Goy through this by looking for ' grows on you' and then all the bits of goy I've seen are there so I can choose any but I usually choose 'news' which takes me straight to my homepage .Is this what you mean ( I never see Goys homepage) unless I specifically look, you can store any page of goy by clicking on favorites and save

I've seen your big picture now Sheila. I access Goy through a bookmark (actually a bookmark toolbar), which takes me to the page where you log in or out. I always log out when leaving, through habit, as it's a good idea if leaving websites like hotmail or Amazon, which would be inconvenient or worse if hacked.

I've got "Front of the house at..." by Holly as the picture - seems different to yours. Very nice. Perhaps it's a "browser" thing - I use Mozilla Firefox, or maybe it depends on the page bookmarked, or accessed through typing in an address.

Ah....see how you get it now Sheila....I always click on my emails, but if I log off, then I get it.

Beattie, we all see the same picture on the "Start up" page (for want of a better expression). So today we're all seeing Holly's front of house . . . Tomorrow it might stay the same, or change to another image. But they seem to be "pick of the bunch" pictures, i.e. very good photos. So I imagine anyone seeing one of their own, chosen for that site, would be delighted.
Glad you've cracked it Janey!
