hi i have a camellia duchesse de gaze , its around 8 yrs old it hasnt flowered for 2 yrs and it looks dead is this normal . its in a pot of its own and has compost in it

Sadly, unless you took strong measures to prevent it, the compost may have frozen for too long last winter, killing the roots, and drying the top too much. It was a rough winter most places, even here in the subtropical desert.
