I HAVE A VERY HEALTHY TRACHELOPPERMUM IN MY GARDEN AND HAVE JUST NOTICED A TYPE OF FRUIT GROWING FROM IT. IT LOOKS SIMILAR TO A SHINY SKINNED AVOCADO BUT IS SHAPED MORE LIKE AN ENORMOUS PLUM. CAN ANYONE HELP ME IDENTIFY WHAT IT IS?

This is the seed head, when it is ripe it will be full of hairy spores.
