Not a question...

Just to let those know who are interested. My daughter (who was admitted to hospital yesterday with ?kidney stones) will probs be coming out tomorrow. Todays x-ray has shown that the stone has moved to the bottom of her left kidney and the consultant thinks she may be able to pass it. If not, they will treat it in out-patients. I think they give the patient something to dissipate the stone. We'll see what they decide tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your concern and your support. Its greatly appreciated.

Sheila

that's good news. Hope you can get some rest and perhaps enjoy your garden. Children even when they have flown the nest still give us cause for anxiety.

Just to update - my daughter was discharged from hospital this afternoon. She hasn't passed the stone yet, the Urologist says that will probably happen in the next week and to expect severe pain, as severe as the pain originally. He'll see her in out-patients in two weeks when they'll do another x-ray to see whether the stone has gone.

I do hope you are getting plenty of support Sheilar, fingers crossed it will be sooner rather than later for her.

Hot compresses, maybe cranberry juice? At least, that's what they prescribed when I was a teenager. Hold her hand, at least!
