Can you idenify the cause and cure for apple tree leaves that look like sunburn?

We have an very young apple tree (1 year) and at appears to have sunburn on it's leaves. We pruned this back hoping that this would go away, but again it has bloomed with leaves that look like popcorn. We have a variety of fruit trees in the same area and this is the only one with this problem.

It may be best to get rid of this tree and start again. You don't want it to spread to your other trees.
