Tree rescue!

Went shopping for some last minute treats for Christmas on Tuesday and to my surprise there was a man in the foyer of Asda giving away potted Christmas trees! As I have never been able to resist rescuing plants from sale and bargain areas in garden centres I came home with one and re-potted it in the hope it will survive (not sure where it will go yet but hey ho, will worry about that later, it’s always been a weakness of mine to buy first then think later where plants are concerned-self confessed plantaholic). Checked the roots, plenty of fibrous roots, they appear to have just cut the tap roots so with any luck and a lot of care it may survive!
My new tree is pictured below complete with some spare decorations I had! Also included a couple of pictures taken of the surrounding fields:-)

Good luck with the tree! I bought one for the mosaic stall, in a pot, cost a bleeding fortune!!

Thanks for all your comments, know what you mean about the cost of trees Lulu! Couldn't believe it when the man said he was giving them away- have never seen so many trees go so quickly!

Some great pictures redaly and what a sweet little Robin..we're all suckers for a Robin at this time of year, eh? And, great to get a free tree...let's hope it survives. They're pretty hardy old things, as long as it hadn't been in the warm for too long!
