Scenic walk which I throughly enjoyed, but yes but where s the post office lol.

That 2nd picture down is just like a place in Yorshire only they have bigger gardens with the little bridges and water flowing under.

Great blog Richard. You are one of those blessed folk who can really appreciate the simple things in life. I guess a lot of gardeners are like this. I know so many people who would prefer to read a newspaper than look out of the window on the train, or in the car for example and would take the car to the post office to save time etc.etc. I wonder how they survive without going off their trolleys in this world. I guess we are just very very lucky to find joy in such things as a chestnut blossom and a duck on a stream.........but I can't imagine living without those joys! Thanks for the lovely photos!....:))

It's lovely to see such delightful places. I'm afraid where I live is decidedly not so pretty. But we have had moorhens with 4 chicks down in 'the conduit' as a friend calls it. Another busy bird that bobs all the time and a mallard with his lady friend near the bridge+ the odd supermarket trolley and lots of cigarette ends from the girls who are imprisoned in a call centre all day. Perhaps, one day I might see a Kingfisher but, I wouldn't take bets on it.

ah you have seen the well known supermarket trolley too Doriac lol , we have that plus the old bicycle swimming in our river .
shame tho, the council here cleans it all up and folk dump things in it again

Fill us in - why are the ducks so terrifying?

Thanks Karen-it is good now that I am now left work and have time to walk around and see these nice things.
Thanks Irish --people are good here with recycling their rubbish :-)
Sussexsarah:-The warning signs are to warn drivers that there are ducks here, and we have to wait for them sometimes when we are in the car. They walk across the road following each other in a line -so the drivers have to wait for them!
Thanks Dan I enjoy the walk to the village shops.

What great company you are Rich, thank you for our stroll, I really enjoyed it! It's when you see pink elephants rather than ducks waddling across the road that you know you just might have a problem my friend lol! :~))x
