A Forgotten Flower
You did not water me, ere I will die,
My once fair petals are baked so dry.
The searing heat of the midday sun,
Tells me my days on earth are done.
My stem is weak, I cannot stand,
Please think of me, when I graced your land.
Quite soon I’ll perish, there’ll be no sound,
I’ll wither away and replenish your ground.

I want to be a daisy
with many petals white
I'll wave my arms and dance around
all through the starry night!
Right!!
I want to be a clematis
all pretty on the wall
I'll look real cool
and when you pass
I'll blow you all a kiss!
Bliss...........
Or something like that, brought back from the mega folds of my memory!
Maybe we should start our own Dream/poem website????

Lovely poem so true Richard and a lovely one from you too Lulu.
Nature and the seasons.
While sitting in my garden, when looking all around,
I spy a little beetle run across the ground,
Blossoms that caress the trees, showing off their dress,
I can hear the black bird sing, its nature at its best,
The worm that turns the earth so fine, the hover fly with wings,
The perfume from the flowers and shrubs, the song thrush that doth sing.
The busy bee from flower to flower, collecting to make honey,
Leaves then fall upon the ground, a hedgehog cute and funny,
The snow has come it’s christmas time, mother nature she has made,
But not all is lost, I can see a robin on my spade.cr by Sixpence.

What a joy this blog is to post comment on...just wonderful Lulu, Sixpence and of course, our master poet, Richard.....A real joy to read. Your poem gave a voice to any plant that gets overlooked and forgotten whilst we rush through our ever hectic life, Rich, a quiet sad voice as of this, yet beautiful all the same ...... :~))x

Thank you for your kind words Flori....master poet llol? -thanks for the thought anyway ;-) I found a few plants in the spare bedroom that I had forgotten about and that is where I had the thought for writing this :-))

Regretably, I have hastened a few of my plants to an early grave too....and still feel guilty over it too! You have made me feel 10 x worse now that you have given them a 'voice'~gee, thanks Rich! LOL!

They have forgiven you of forgetting to water them Flori, but they told me they like to be sang to when you can find the time.
"Autumn Leaves" is one of their favourites ;-) x

Crispy leaves more like! hahaha! Or 'Where have all the flowers gone?' I hate losing a healthy plant, especially from neglect....Feel really really guilty now!!!

I think that we have all done similar my friend. At least we gardeners replace them with many more plants, and you always lose a few unfortunately :-))
