The long winter is over and now it is time to get into the garden. Here are a few photos of how my garden looks now…30 april/ 1st may. Today is the 1st of may and a public holiday here in Germany, but all the same I was up at “sparrow O ´clock” The sun was shining..and still is….temps at 8.30 am around 18 C. After brekkers I decided to go down to the garden because I thought that it was high time that I got the spuds in the ground..see the photos. Yesterday evening I decided to mow both lawns…now although I live in Germany I´m not a typical german gardener…they love to have all their flower beds weed free and the lawn mowed with nail scissors !. I like to have flowering weeds in the garden….the insects need them!. I also have a few places that are untidy…hidey holes for hedgehogs…frogs etc. So now that the weather is better I hope to do a few more blogs during the gardening season. Happy gardening.

Hi Rogi! I like your style of gardening, it's much better to have a more relaxed look and the odd weed here and there is good for the wildlife, I agree.
Thanks for the blog and I hope your spuds grow well:)

A good start , Rogi .
It sounds like the weather there is doing better than here . Plenty of sun but a bitterly cold North wind .

I'm glad the weather is nice for you. It's good to get out in the fresh air.

A garden should be a place you are happy in, and yours fits that criteria. A place where you can express your creative
personality. Yours fits.
Not a place you are a slave to because the neighbours are
watching and commenting.
Carry on being happy in your garden. We all support you !

I'll second that, Dianebulley.
Your garden looks lovely, rogi, full of interest, a splendid place to be. Looking forward to sharing thro' your blogs.

Thanks for all your positive comments. A garden is a place where you must feel good in to appreciate it...and I sure feel good in my garden....blows all the "cobwebs" away and forget the rest of the world while I´m down there.
