Back to the garden !

Well…the garden is back to normal now, instead of looking like a jungle after three weeks away from it ! I can’t believe how everything grew in those three weeks either !
Just a few pictures to show you how its matured in just over a year……..
I couldn’t believe how tall these Ligularias had grown while we were away ! Apparently it was a mixture of very hot and rainy weather here !
This is a shady area where we placed all our large pots of Rhodies last year and now have added others so that it isn’t just a plain concrete area !
And this is a closer look at the new widened border !
These are the little Lupins Pixie. I was undecided about growing these annuals , but am pleased I did now !
The path borders are overflowing now ! If you look to the right , you can just see my new obelisk which my dear friend Elizabeth, (Libet) sent me for my birthday next week.
My new “Welcome” sign bought from our holiday in Turkey.
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at these few pictures .
Another rainy day here ! I hope the sun is shining for some of you !

It has filled out and looks amazing , the first things I do when coming home from a holiday is to look round the garden its always a shock to see how much everything has grown ,you don't notice it when you are there every day ...

It looks really good, Rose. When you started the garden, I bet you didn't think it would look this good in such a comparatively short time. You must be thrilled with it!

Hi , Rose .
We have been back for 3wks and are only now just about there . You have done well to restore it with such speed . It is looking good !
Ours was like part of a rain forest , impenetrable almost . It makes you almost reluctant to leave it to its own devices , doesn't it ?

haven't you done amazing things there Rose? It's all lovely. I particularly like the corner with the ligularia in it, and your welcome sign is a lovely souvenir. :)) You are brave leaving it for three weeks in mid summer! :))

It is all looking wonderfully well. Its hard to believe it has grown so quickly. Happy birthday when it arrives. Libet made a great choice.

this is just lovely, Rose...i like the colour of the building..that soft shade of green sets the garden of so well....i'm hoping my courtyard will look a little like your shaded area, i don't want to set my sights too high this year, being a newbie at container gardening....

Thanks Barbara, the Ligularias this year are so majestic ! The only thing is that they only stay in flower for about three weeks ! Neither of us can believe how everything has grown either ! Obviously the plants are as happy as us !
Thanks Amy. Thats exactly what I did ! Garden first...the washing can wait ! Hahaa!
Thanks Mel, no I didn't ! I just love it and it seems to get better all the time ! All I need now is sunshine ! lol
Hello Driad, ours looked exactly the same ! I should have took pictures then !
Thanks Karen. I can't believe how that shady side looks now and all just with pots ! The garage side border looks just like I wanted it to and I don't think Rick ever noticed how much I had taken ! Hahaa!
Thanks Scotsgran, and thank you for the early birthday wishes.
Thanks Hywel. The Veronicas you sent me a couple of years ago are huge now !
Thank you Oddbillie, I appreciate that !
I'm sure it will be lovely Odaatpat ! The green on the garage was hubbies idea. I wasn't sure at first, but I love it now !

Hello Hywel, yes you did and they grew absolutely enormous while we were away. I had quite a job staking them ! They look lovely !
Thanks Kidsgran. I've enjoyed doing it.
Thank you Fran.

Hi Rose, love the Ligularia - I've got one in a pot because the slugs & snails like it too.
Mine has 5 buds - can't wait until they burst open, but yours really looks majestic.
Borders look very nice too.

Thank you jannyfreema. I have split this one up in the garden quite a few times, giving some to my neighbours and the other one I put in a pot and hid it in between pots as I had it standing in an old washing up bowl filled with water. They like to be kept moist, but the best thing is that the slugs and snails drown in the water ! lol
