The last throes of Summer!

I expect everyone of you are hoping we see some flowering into October!
I will just show you a few of what is flowering now!

I have a row of these sedums all along the front path!

Roses in the front garden.

This Aster nearly ended up in the garden waste bin last year as it was full of mildew! I am pleased I kept it!

This was another plant that I cut back drastically last year to give it one more chance as last year it just went into bud and then the bud would fall off!

One of my favourites which keeps on giving! The Alstromeria!

Graham Thomas. My hubbies favourite!

My lovely Bonica which some of you love to hate! Haha!

And this last one is Just Joey

I hope this cheered you up on a dreary day!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who threatens recalcitrant plants with the chop, Rose! Looks like it has worked for you.
I do like the 'Just Joey' and 'Graham Thomas'. Both lovely colours. (Sorry, 'Bonica'!!)

Definitely a cheerful blog and collection of big and beautiful blooms, Rose! Loving all the colours too, just evokes the last throes of late summer!

a very happy and uplifting blog. it is amazing how the threat of 'going in he bin' seems to work.
I enjoyed seeing your successes.

Eileen you're right I had a campanula that never flowered until one autumn I said "If you don't flower next year you're going in the bin" and it has flowered beautifully ever since...

Thanks Stera! L do love my roses!
Oh Ange! Poor Bonica! It's lovely! Is it just pink roses you don't like?
Thanks for your comments even if the Bonica is sulking! Haha!
Thank you Linda!
Thanks Kate! Isn't it a shame it's coming to an end!
Well, I never expected the Aster to pick up Seaburn, as it looked so poorly last year! Thanks for your comments.
Thanks Hywel!

What lovely colours Rose, on this horrible day. Thank you for cheering me up.
I have a small Sedum gifted by Shirley-Tulip which I'm hoping to increase.
When I was young my dad gave me a small patch of garden to myself and one of the first flowrs I grew was the Aster Michalmas Daisy. I still love them, but they are prone to mildew aren't they?
Your Alstromeria is exactly the same as the one I have planted. Great minds think alike! :-)

Thanks Waddy! Late as usual looking at my blogs!
Its amazing how the Aster was fine this year and covered inmildew last year! It must have been the torrential rain followed by the sun!
Sedums soon grow and multiplty ,so don't think you will have to wait long!
