Both have dresses! Woohoo!

Just a brief update.
We successfully found THE dress for Victoria yesterday and 25% underbudget. It was dress number 16 that made the grade. Totally different to what we started out looking at.

Same with Elizabeth really, though she only tried on 8 dresses.

So both girls now are waiting for them to be made in their sizes.

Just me to go now. October for Elizabeth and April for Victoria.

That's great, and one worry less! In fact, two worries less.
Do you have to have a different outfit for each wedding Eileen, or will one do for both?

my girls say I can wear the same but one of my sisters in law will make a big thing of it if I do. She tries to find fault in everything I do. Usually it makes me smile with her attitude but she is the sort to say something at the second wedding [Victoria's] and I wouldn't want to embarrass her or Dan & his family. I have 2 vintage dresses [I bought in the 80's] that will be ideal if I can shift a bit of 'beef' so they zip up.

Thankfully no hats needed yippee.

I would feel exactly the same way so it would be two outfits Seaburn, thankfully I didn't have that worry , my son went to Cyprus with just his best man and brides sister, youngest daughter got married at Gretna Green the old fashioned way, never even met their witnesses until the morning of their wedding, we did have receptions at home at later dates for family and friends though, that was enough for me, lol........

part of me thinks that is the way to go. but I am enjoying helping plan and prepare things. The down side is if you put the word wedding in front you can add and extra £100+ to the cost.

wedding cake at one place was quoted £650 [Elizabeth's request] two weeks later Victoria asked for the same shape, flavours design etc for a birthday and she was quoted £380.

I did email the woman and asked why the difference when both cakes were identical. She said that the wedding cake need more care and attention to detail. She didn't reply to my query about professional standards for birthday cake customers.
Toria still has to sort her cake.
