Nottingham has impressed me this last two weeks.
First we get the royal visit and today we had the olympic torch.
Id just like to say for the first time that nottingham has made me pround and we do things on a big people scale lol.
20,000+ have turned up to both events.
Heres a quick pic of the queens visit -
Then today we had our turn with the flame -
Its been 2 great days and i hope you all get chance to see your local flame.

Great pics Lovely picture of the Queen . It really has been hectic with everything happening all at the same time .........but it is great to have something to take peoples minds off the state of things just now .
It's brilliant the effect the olympic torchs' progress is having all over the country......... super pics :o))

It does seem that these simple events make all the problems disappear for a day and bring everyone from all different background together. ^^

Lovely photo of the Queen, we had the pleasure of seeing her on the same day, she had lunch at Burghley and then did the tour of the town before moving on to Corby, the sun was shining and it was a brilliant atmosphere in the town, even the police were friendly and chatted to us whilst we waited.
The torch is coming tomorrow also through the town and up at Burghley so I`m hoping the weather is good but rain or shine I`m going to see it....
