moss

Well last week i put on weed and feed on grass (can’t call it a lawn!) and some of the moss has died off and gone black so out with the rake and raked up the dead stuff, looks a bit of a mess at the moment but am sure it will improve, think its going to need another application though doesn’t seem to have affected the clover and dandelions!!!
the garden is starting to look good, lots of things coming up now and that rain helped a lot, i planted some new tulips last year in a pot they are lovely, named ‘Angelique’, i will move them to the border when they finish flowering.
I saw this butterfly when walking round the garden, looked it up just to show off its proper name is ‘Anthocaris cardamines’, orange tipped butterfly, pretty.
Toffee was doing his ‘rounds’, the Dicentra has come on so much lately and is now in flower, its even bigger this year.
the oxslip (as opposed to cowslip bit bigger plant) is in flower,
I love this time of year!!! :)

Everything in the garden is lovely, and I`m sure the lawn will be fine.

take heart, the clover etc takes a while to die off whilst the moss goes black almost overnight.

So do I sewingkilla
I am in the middle of my grass/moss killer drama. I have four lawns to deal with, so it takes me weeks to finish the job. It has been so dry here in Scotland, I have had to play the, "will it rain?" game for days. It is all worth it tho'.
Best wishes
Linda
