Sunny day No.27

Doing quite a bit of watering of smaller, newish plants. Established ones have to take their chance. Has anyone had any problems with the online company Sarah Raven this year? For years, I’ve bought the lovely traiing Verbena ‘Sissinghurst Pink’ because deep pink is a favourite colour, but this year they have flowered an unusual blotchy pink – not quite what I was expecting. Might send them one of the photos …
Hydrangea Wim’s Red with ‘wrong’ Verbena
Perennial sweet pea thinks it’s a tree
Pot with Geraniums
Malva moschata alba with Salvia Cero Posoti
Petunia Tidal Wave, white mallow and Verbena
Have a happy weekend everyone :)

Sheila that is so disappointing...a friend of mine has had problems this year with Sarah Raven young bean plants...they arrived yelliw and shrivelled up so obviously had to be returned. It's a shame in the past that is the name I would recommend.

Thank you both, yes it is a shame when in the past they have been reliable. I sent them a photo when 10 plugs of Verbena Blush arrived dry, shrunken and dead, but they did at least refund me!

I've never bought any plants from Sarah Raven but I'd always heard people speak well of them. It's a shame when a company can't keep up its reputation! It's not easy to get a good level of trust but it only takes a couple of bad instances to lose it!

Different problems with Sarah Raven here. They have sent me my plants very late this year, so I planted them straight away, but with this heat they are just sitting there in shock. Not impressed at all with them sending me tiny young plants out in June. Same last year which I overlooked because the spring was so dire. But no such excuse this year.
