Annual Flower Festival, Netherlands

These pictures were taken in APRIL 2012 of the flower festival in Holland.
It is a procession of floats taken along a 42 km route between Noordwijk and Haarlem.

Sponsored by various towns

Or various businesses:- I think this is the post.

Showing the bulbs that are grown in the area :- Daffs and Tulips

Hyacinths

The individual flowers of the Hyacinths were used extensively over a frame to create tableaux.

The scent of the flowers hits you before the float passed you.

Although the sky was clear

The leaves on the trees were only just unfurling.

With love:-

I have just seen a mention of a Bulb flower festival parade in Spalding UK on a BBC programme recently, which unfortunately doesn’t happen any more.
