Brachyglottis (Senecio) greyii covered in frost February 22nd 2015.
This picture of the plant taken last summer (2014) shows why the common name is Daisy Bush or Sunshine Bush.
Frost on the lawn. When the sun comes out, the snowdrops under the pergola in the background will come out -
- then they will disappear into dormancy.
The pergola which is covered at present with the flowers of Clematis balearica “Freckles”,
will have a covering of Clematis viticella alba in summer.
I will get the garden seat from the garage and put it in its place for late afternoon sunshine. The Honeysuckle will flower and provide scent.
I can’t wait!

I don't like the frost on my hands and feet but it always adds a magical look to the plants and shrubs which in my opinion one cannot help but admire.....

What a lovely little seating area. When I saw it was your blog I thought it was going to have irises in it - something to look forward to for later?

Thanks Steragram, I do have other plants besides Iris! Our seating corner for "apperos" gets the sun from about 5 pm. Only the centre bird bath gets sun most of the day, so my Iris are in the front which faces S/SW. They must have maximum sun to ripen the rhizomes.

Its good to know that clems will be happy in shade most of the time. It will be so nice sitting under them you won't want to get up and start working...

But no scent, hence the Honeysuckle up the back fence, but it had a serious prune recently.

It wil bounce back - a lovely perfume to sit under in the evening.
