Sunday 20.03 just finished Sunday roast meal, in the conservatory, seen a rat, jumped over the width of the pond, 24"+ underneath the netting, to stop The Crow taking my fish, and along the LH fence border. The little B….r, eating the stems off my plants roots along it’s rat run. I will get It. Won’t post pic of it’s dead body, just state " mission accomplished".
B….. wild life.!!!!!! No pics!!

Haha, well done. That's the trouble, not all wildlife is good, like when we had the darn badger.
They breed like rabbits, dont they so need controlling, vermin, disease ridden. You dont mess about, do you. ;-)

We had one earlier in the year caught it eating bird food from the teapot I put food in for the little birds it is no more though, Rob got it with his air rifle.

I wouldn't mind if they just stayed outside my cultivated space, Dawn, wishful thinking.
Simbad, send Rob, action Man!

I detest the horrid things, you are having problems what with the crows and now rats....hope you get it.......I dont object to the odd vole having the odd strawberry, but according to my brother they can be a nightmare , biting the heads off plants...as you say wild life!!

Ha ha..... Good luck.
We had them in and out of our garden a few weeks ago as they were living under the decking next door.We had the same problem at the last house too. They love decking, it's like it was designed specially for them!

Lol. We have an old chicken run at the side of the workshop. Pretty sure there are rats living under it. Trying to build up confidence to knock it down as don't plan to keep chicken due to the dogs. Really not looking forward to it.

I shall be pleased to see the mission accomplished sign go up Sue , nasty things we had them when we had a couple of chickens didn't see any after they died but then they were back when a neighbour had chickens the other side of the fence Tony did the same as Kathy's husband and took aim with the air rifle , the chickens have since gone so haven't seen any for a while ...and No he didn't shoot the chickens Lol ...

This is getting exciting......where are they coming from, and how many more are there I ask myself?

The sports field is only 2 properties distance, as the crow flies/ as the rat runs! The youngsters (almost human) in the evening eat & drink there then discard the wrappers etc on the ground (despite there being waste bins), encourages rats. Have seen several there (rats), in broad daylight, when walking to the shops.

Literally finished writing the above comment 14.15 Tuesday, caught another, this time a young rat I think (has a scaly ringed tail) still after the adults.

Hip HIP ! Well done another one down ... Do you know that annoys me more than anything people leaving litter everywhere and as you have noticed Sue right next to a litter bin ,what is wrong with these people ? they recently opened a McDonald's up the road I'm just waiting to see how much rubbish gets thrown out of car windows etc.

No respect! A Doz standard tree saplings were planted alongside the path at the edge of the sports ground, a few year ago , 2 weeks later all broken in half, must have cost us rate payers loads.

Gone are the days when the local bobby gave them a clip round the ear and then mum did the same .. we mustn't hurt the little darlings !

12 Jul, 2016

A sad state of affairs, result of broken homes, lack of discipline lack of respect, thank goodness not all youngsters are the same though!

Rat count over last month ....Us 1 in trap, 3 in bait box.
Neighbour next door .....3 trapped on bird table, Neighbour over back .....3 in trap. That surely must be the lot!!
