My Grand-daughters holiday with us and her trip to the Butterfly Park.

Hello Everybody.
First of all what fantastic weather we are all having.
We had our 5 year old grand-daughter up to stay with us for her half term holiday so I took her to the Butterfly Park at Stratford. This is Ellie with a beautiful butterfly on her arm.
This one very nearly got squashed inside Ellies butterfly book, thankfully she saw it in time. Here are a few of the wonderful butterflys flying around.
We have only been in the park for a short while when Ellie asked if we could go as she was hot. Mind you it was very warm in there, after I had paid £15 for us to go into the park I talked her into staying a little longer. As we walked around she was quite excited about all the different butterflys landing on her.
After a while I could see Ellie was getting very warm so I took her outside and we both had a lovley cold ice cream, it went down a treat.
The next day Ellie was sat under the big conker tree at the lock side when she said " quick Granma come and see what has fallen out of the tree".
This is what she found.
A tiny little Blue Tit, much too young to be out on its own. We did think of putting it back in the nest but the tree is so big we didnt know where to look, so Ellie decided it was best to put on the bottom of the tree and hope her mum would find her.
Sadley the poor little thing didn’t live, we told Ellie that yes it’s mum came and took her back to the nest. She was happy with that.
On Ellies last day her Granpa said she could drive our boat on the river. Christopher took the boat out and turned it around for and then went on to tell Ellie what to do. She took hold of the tiller and I must say she did a great job driving the boat, which is 60ft long. There were a couple of hairy momments when she decided to push the throttle down fully. She said she likes to go fast.
Look at the excitment on her face.
Just two of the many birds who visit my bird feeds daily.
