MY EASTER TRIP TO KEUKENHOF GARDENS IN AMSTERDAM

Hello everyone.
I want to take on a trip to the beautiful keukenhof gardens in Amsterdam.
Myself and Christopher along with my sister and her husband went on a mini cruise to the Netherlands to see the Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam over the easter holiday. The weather was fantastic with sunshine all the way, the ship was great and the food, well lets just say we all put on a few pounds but what the heck we were on our hols.

Our ship was berthed in Amsterdam so we took a coach ride to the gardens, before reaching the gardens we saw so many beautiful fields a mass of colour. Tulips, hyacinths, narcissus to name a few. It was stunning.

The gardens opened at 9am – 6pm at a cost of 13.50 euro each and well worth every penny.
Myself and Christopher took over 400 photos and I wish you could see them all but sadley you can only see a few which I hope you all like.
I have never seen so many different Tulips and so many different sizes, some were as big as tea plates. One of my favourite Tulips is this lovley pink marshmellow as I call it. I was so excited with it all I forgot to get the names of the flowers. but take a look at it and see what you think.
The second photo is also a Tulip, they are grown in doors as they are either too tall or too delicate for outside.

So do you like the pink marshmellow? One of the first things you notice when you go into the gardens is first the colour but then the aroma they just ‘blow you away’. Also inside they had Lilies, Orchids,Lilac trees,Ameryllis, freesia,Iris, Chrysanthemums.
I’ll tell you what shall I show you some more photos? The next 3 photos I love, the colour and the way they have used the wood with the Hyacinths is truely beautiful in the first photo. Infact I have it as a desktop background.

I forgot to say, there wasn’t just flowers we did find these lovely little chaps.
the next photo shows a man of steel with suitcases, if you want to buy him it will cost you just 35,000 euros.

I will add some more photos tomorrow, but I do hope you have enjoyed looking at these and will take a look at the others.
If ever you get the chance to go to Amsterdam do go to the gardens you will love it as we did. We are going back again next year.
Take care all of you.
Sophiejo.
