At either 78f or 79f depending on the station at HAYX,inland and even a 82f inland, we smashed last weeks old record.
It feels warm.

I had to water some plants. The Papaya’s a bit. Potted plants,Tree ferns, other then that the ground is still wet from December and even Banana’s don’t need supplementary watering yet..

RAIN for next weekend they say….

It must be a nightmare trying to keep your plants happy in drought that lasts this long...

Nice to read of somewhere warm even if its unusually so, here we hive winds coming straight from the icy north with sleety icy rain and snow......not as bad thankfully as the eastern U S A.....

That sounds a bit too hot. I hope the rain will cool things down a bit for you :)
We're having a nice sunny morning here in Wales, but it isn't as hot as it is with you (about 7 or 8 degrees lol)

Sandra,Pam,Howell- that's the double edged sword. Every day that's dry and warm,is one less day of the rainy season. There are people in Northern California who lost plants because in their area there was no water for plants last summer. Locally, some have decided to not water their yards at all. If it dies, they just let go..
You know? Its so strange that we were near 20f over average, and now its cooled down- to 5 or10f above average. As if,THAT is normal now.

Its hard to know what 'normal' is these days, last winter here we had no frost but awful floods, this year is cold snowy and frosty....
