Not common that its raining in 66f (19c)weather or even 62f (17c) for a low in February.. Strange to walk outside (again,in February) in the afternoon..and warm radiates. Here, we get no rain in summer so this is nearly all new. Warm fall rains are closest to tropical showers, and those are not every year.
We had sort of high winds yesterday. Made a mess, but nothing broke or fell over this time. On the news they did show a Windmill palm with hairy trunk about 30’ fall over on a home. Crushed the gutter and eave. A pittance compared to our 400year old Oaks (new homes built around native tree’s) and 100 year old Redwoods (planted by man) that can take out three homes at a time, and power lines as long as its at being destructive as its last hurrah.
Bigger storm on Sunday.

And warmer.

It must be a joy to have some rain at last though!

After posting, the second storm came in Stera, and it was bigger. Rained in torrents. And that's the new here...huge rainstorms followed by record warmth. Once again, for the third week in a row, a few record setting warm day will visit.
Now,the great news is..this postpones heavy rationing for this year. I can water the ferns-lol.

Its all very strange. We had a de Caen anemone out in December. Will you need to water the ferns if its rained as much as that??

I meant for the upcoming summer dry season. Some I wouldn't have been able to afford all they needed if restrictions were in place. I can look forward to a normal summer...I think. A few more storms would help.

26c here today and the sun on skin feeling was late summer like.
I read a report that said in 50 years, soucal would be a tropical climate, and the bay area as warm as Los Angeles is now.
And all that with frequent and long droughts. Oh,boy.
