I had to take down the Tillandsia tree. It had become the favorite way of getting over the fence for something..cat or Raccoon. As a consequence it was knocked over 3 or 4 times and it also had become too rotten to take that abuse.
So,The Tillandsia’s that as a group weigh almost nothing went on the backyard arbor. The same arbor I had taken the Bromeliads off because they had become large clumps.
That’s Gardening..a change I wouldn’t have made but for the plants..and critters.
The Tillandsia tree is now just the Ripsalis and some Till’s tied to a post. That should be good for another summer. If I find a better piece of branching, then sooner.
Now what to plant in that bit of a sunny spot now vacated?
Since you kindly asked for photos- and that’s always a good thing for me-no need to twist my arms. Here it is.
This is Aechmea Fantasia Its bloom grew through the miners lamp. Tillandsia bergeri in bloom. Fallen over 3-4 times really ruined this year bloom.
Tillandsia cyanea.
Above and behind is Tillandsia bulbosa. Big. Over 1’
