Spreading what I have around...

I’ve been taking plants that combine being fast clumpers and being favorites of mine so as to plant in bare spots. Bromeliads like Fosters Favorite or..broken pieces of “Firesticks”..so instead of just my one old plant- that has been cutback by midnight invaders several times over the last decade or so,and now I have..4 or 5.
The cats have been brutal to my very old staghorn fern in the backyard (1978) breaking off two large pups. Well, let me tell you I wasn’t going to throw those away..on to the Ash tree in the front yard!
Same for small cuttings of succulents..going into cracks between broken asphalt “rocks” I never did throw away.
You know..since I do have repeat large Tree Euphorbia’s I see its turning out to be more cohesive then repetitive. To think I was always a one of this and one of that.
If it makes you happy to have more of the same?..go for it.

Exactly. You also are curious too..will it take shade? Or do well in a pot? We only human. Our love of a certain shape of plant can be the same as some who like a collection of Roses.

It's good to propagate plants. I do it all the time. You may end up with a few of the same but they are a backup in case you loose the main one :)
