Soaking,soaking wet.

No wonder stucco houses are popular in wet climates…old wooden houses just flex and soak in all that water. I have to put my shoulder to the side door to open and close it.
Its just rainforest like right now…anything that had a few spores of moss…is green. What had much moss is like velvet.
The last week gave us 30% of our YEARLY total.
That canyon I drive through and have posted photos of ? Like Frosty and Sycamores? Its been closed twice from mudslides. When its been opened, I can see raging torrents of water from side to side..tan colored water leaping like a Lion over boulders.
To think I’ve written how in summer I can sit on a small boulder in clear warm water looking at minnows there!
It hasn’t been cold…we’ve had almost all the wet stream from Hawaii. Its also not a El Nino or Nina year. No explanation other then— nature wants too!
It is funny to see tv news crews ask tourist what they think of this. When they come from places like Minnesota they think “Great!..its -30 where I came from!” so 60f and rain isn’t that bad ..lol.

Paul, then you have 15' of snow in a weekend in the Mountains 3.5 hours more inland.
Whew!...considering 48 weeks of the year its mostly "Warmer today or cooler today"..

well, we are expecting a few snow flakes here tonight/tomorrow but the way people are talking, you'd think we were having 15 ft. We don't deal well with snow here, I'm afraid.

No snow here in the South but a very wet and dark day. Security lights came on at 3p.m!
I know what you mean Paul. A few inches of snow and everything stops!

Yes, the main roads have been snarled up around here this evening. I hope they're OK in the morning because I have to make an early start and travel approx 30 miles to be there by 8am.

I added new pics of that calm little creek...now a raging beast.
Hard to tell that the hills are even more verdant since it was cloudy....but those palms will not suffer this summer.
