That's Loropetalum chinense.

I love the last pic with the huge euphorbia. Mine has been standing in a cold dry insulated porch all winter. It has a couple of small branches starting near the top...and it's pal the ponytail palm is growing very lush too. I like your spring...I wish for a little of it here. still cold. minuses...brrr.

We are having our last big rains of the year Lori. Today,its tapped in from near Hawaii and temps are going to be a balmy 19C or so. Maybe warmer. Then,after that the north half of the storm moves in and we will actually drop as low as a December like morning low of 4C. That's just crazy cold for this time of year. Last year at this time we were in the 22C+ range.

Wow that's really cold for SC. Have you had enough rain? How are the reservoirs? Lots of dust and turbulence in the atmosphere is keeping our temps hovering around zero C. No spring here yet.

We are at about 50-80% in various reservoirs. About 50% in snowpack. But,the snowpack might be at 65-70% by the end of the weekend. Same for reservoirs later when snow melts.
Spring has sprung..but will be much more sprung next week when we might reach 75f (24c) by midweek. I can hardly wait. I've had enough cool weather for this year.
