Lovely steady downpour, looks as if it means to go on for ages. Everything smells fantastic. Hallelujah!
Who would have thought we’d be saying that in June?

Hi Sue, we had a big thunder storm yesterday morning, then it rained for a couple of hours, then the sun came out again, we got about half a dozen light spots this afternoon, but nothing to write home about, at least I didn't have to water, lol, Derek

It was raining when I was on my way home from work early this morning, when I got up and went out the back door, the whole garden was revitalised!

Oh I wish has not happened here yet.

The earth had that wonderful earthy smell about it today you know what i mean :) the fact that lightning provides the intense energy needed to combine atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen into nitrates and then the rain then will carry these needed nitrates down to the earth's surface enriching the soil (can't you just smell that) :).
The lavender just filled the air :) wonderful.
thank you for blog :) that was a nice reminder.

We had a drop the other night but not for long, we are pretty desperate for more though. So glad you enjoyed your downpour.

It's certainly welcome Steragram . . . we had a lovely downpour after a night of silent lightning . . . great to enjoy the cooler temperature now. (We were still sitting outside at 10.00pm yesterday evening!)

We had some heavy showers, but could really do with some more prolonged rain. Still the garden looks better than it did.

We have had a lot of very heavy rain today with thunder and lightning. Quiet now but there was a lot of road flooding.

Thanks everybody - wasn't sure if anybody would bother reading this one!
We didn't get any thunderstorms - I was disappointed. There wasn't as much rain as it looked as if there was going to be and the soil all looks dry again today, but the heavy stuff we did have has done good. Poor Drc, I hope you get some soon. Flooding Linda? That's inconvenient, and doesn't it make you wish you could save all that water being wasted on the road? Channel it off to the poor goyers who need it!
