Coming along nicely!

Looking round the garden this morning and thought I would post a couple of pics, the first one is of Fatshedera `Lizei` this was planted in January 2010 and has done well with little attention. (I think I put a picture of this when I purchased it). It does well as background planted against a fence.
!
I think it was a couple of years ago when I altered the top of the pond and rockery/stumpery and it seems to be coming along nicely.
and as you can see the fish are enjoying the sunshine.
and so am I although there seems to be quite a breeze picking up … never mind that won`t stop me going to the nursery for a few plants to re-do my pots.
Hope you all enjoy your day whatever you may be doing.

Db ... when speaking of the fish you obviously didn`t understand that I was speaking metaphorically.

I love the look around your pond. Looks a lovely place to sit by and watch the fish. I used to have a pond in my last garden and enjoyed sitting by it and yours almost makes me think about putting one in here, then I remember all the hard work they take and decide it's much nicer just to look at ones like yours! Lol.

It all looks really nice. We inherited a pond when we moved, which I've always wanted. Our fish seem to love basking in the sun like yours. The only thing I'm not totally happy with is the planting around the pond, it's messy. As I have never had a pond before I'm not sure how to tackle this area. Your plants look so pretty. Would it be possible to name a couple of plants that you have used?

It is looking lovely Stroller. What a beautiful pond you have.

Stroller, it's gone cold here too, so I don't think I'd want to sit next to our pond either...nothing to do with getting old, I just don't like being cold!

Thanks Stroller, that is a great help. I'm off to the garden centre!

Love the pond area and stumpery. Do you ever see a heron around? Our large fish seem OK but I am sure some of the smaller ones have vanished. Occupational hazard here. Those birds must have really sharp eye!

Eirlys we do get one from time to time, he perches on the top of the trellis, but because our banks to the pond are quite steep he can`t get in ... think its because they are wading birds.

It looks beautiful garden and pond love the bridge going over your pond. As others have said would live to sit by your pond with a cuppa tea to sit and stare and watch the fish..

3d, Shirley and Bloomer, not really sitting out weather as yet, its beautiful sunshine this morning but such a cold wind.

Always a treat taking a peek into your wonderful garden Stroller, cannot believe the difference in this weekends weather compared to last, suntops definitely not needed yet...
15 Apr, 2017
As you say Lincs definitely not time for the suntops. I`m getting rather impatient want to get the summer pots planted up but although we have had sunshine the winds have made it too cold to be out in the garden and we have to plant the large tubs in situ as we are no longer able to move them once planted up.

Fish do not have eyelids. This is well illustrated in the photo of them swimming in the shade.
