As promised in my blog of 7th Feb regarding unidentified Clematis I was able to visit stone house cottage in Kidderminster on Wednesday of this week and took a sample of said Clematis which still had remains of a flower head and seed head. Louise identified it as CLEMATIS HENRYI v. morii -BSWJ 1668 available crug-farm.co.uk, she had lost hers to the frost. Hope this info is useful to SANBAZ and SPRITZ as they expressed interest.

Thanks, Stroller, both for taking the time and trouble, and for letting us know. No wonder I didn't recognise it - it's not in any of my books!
