How Do I Upload Pics to Fit GoY ?
Can anyone tell me how I can make sure my pics are small enough to upload onto GoY. I’ve so many good pics & collages that I cannot upload as I’m being told they are too big, but I cannot see how they are? Is there anything I can do to help?

I've tried chopping them to a smaller size, copying them into a collage (but still just as 1 image) but still have probs. I'm not really an IT budah so don't know if it's the size of colours that create the mbs. Thanks anyway Arlene.

Thanks TT - will do. Another bit of the GoY website I didn't know about, so thanks.

Is yours a digital SLR camera ?
If it is, it could be that you need to adjust your setting on the camera.
Maybe the handbook of the camera would have info anyway ?

I'll have a look Louise, I just left it with the custom settings that it came with and I'm more than happy with the pics - I can edit them ok, and burn to CD's or DVD's absoulutely fine so no probs there - it's just when trying to upload to site, I'm told some exceed the mbs limit. Thanks.

Thanks everyone - I got some advice from Peter & it seems to have worked on the few I've tried so far.

Hi there TCG, if you have a program called Picasa then you can use that to crop your files! Just use the 'export to folder' option and it automatically crops them to a size that suits GoY. Good luck with it and welcome to GoY!

Thanks Ian - Peter gave me a couple of possible ways to try. Windows Photo Manager & Picasa. I tried it the 1st way but will also try in Picasa to see if easier. Thanks very much - there looks like there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
