An Afternoon @ Mottisfont Gardens

This afternoon we visited the National Trust Gardens at Mottisfont. The weather was kind to us, it didn’t rain and there was a bit of sun about. There is a Beatrix Potter exhibition, so we heaed straight for Mr McGregor’s garden. We had seen them starting to put it together in March. What a change, it made my veggie plot look a bit sparse!
After visiting Mr McGregor’s Garden we went int the walled garden, we were a bit late in the season for the roses, but there was still plenty of colour to be seen and plenty of clematis to keep us going.
The lavender in the garden is so aromatic, whole hedges lining the path.
The walled garden was full of clematis.
After the walk around the garden, it was time for a drink and then back home.
