BOGOF Day at Hilliers Gardens

Yesterday was such a lovely day we decided to use our BOGOF tickets to check out the gardens in the Spring. We weren’t disapointed, the gardens were already colourful.
The first thing of note was the giant spade!
We started off in the Ten Acres West part of the garden.
We were lucky enough to be at the gardens when the Camelias and Helleborus were at their best.
Other areas of thr garden also colourful and worth the odd shot or 2.
We finished off at the Acer Valley end of the gardens. The trunks looked fantastic!
With all the colour around, we can’t wait to go back and see this view again.

You've really captured the spring gardens in a very pleasing way...no wonder you want to return as the garden matures in spring/summer.
They are beautiful...and the acer bark is so attractive :)

Thanks for this OG. The Hilliers stand is always my favourite in the Grand Pavilion at Chelsea, and Andy McIndoe is always there to chat with everyone....very lovely garden isn't it....lucky you! :))

What a lovely place to visit - I've never actually heard of it so I assume it is somewhere near you ? I like the reddish looking tree which appears to have a reddish bark as well - most unusual.
Hope you post some pics when you go back - later in the summer perhaps ?
Happy days.

Great photos Paul. You obviously had a lovely day out. Must get over there and take a look, but so much I want to do in the garden at the moment.

Smashing photos, with so much colour and interest. I envy you, nothing much like that around me, but other peoples gardens are nice to peak at just now especially the magnolias.

Glad you had a good time, looks lovely! Really good photos. My favorite is the one of the Maple, with the peeling bark, is just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them!
