St George's Day visit to Exbury Gardens

The sun was out and I had a day off. So where else to go, but Exbury Gardens. I don’t think I have been there for over 6 years!
So with camera at the ready, off Joy and I went. What a lot of changes since we were last there.
Into the gardens we went to be greeted by the first of the Rhododendron bushes.
We decided to turn west and head towards the main house, it was very quite, we seemed to have beaten the rush. So I was fortunate to be able to take a lot of shots, with out the usual crowds.
The some of the Rhododendrons were out, but it will be a couple of weeks before they are at their best in the garden. The Magnolias were at their best, a joy to see.
Other highlights of the garden were the Top Pond, the Heather Garden and of course the Rock Garden. The little Steam Train was new to us, we came across it when we were about to visit the Doomsday Tree.
We walked around the gardens for over 3 hours and kept discovering something different at every turn.
So after such a long time between visits, we will make sure that we don’t leave it for so long until we visit again.

Lovely photos OG. How fortunate that it was so quiet! Not a single person in any of your shots! Lovely gardens and lovely sunshine.
