Salisbury Town Path

I decided to take the camera with me, when we went on our afternoon walk around the Town Path route in Salisbury.
In Elizabeth Gardens there are lots of Cathedral oppotunities.
There are several ‘Watering Holes’ along the way!
The River Avon is crossed before entering the Cathedral ground and a well earned Latte in the Refectory.
After ‘Latte’ time a quick look inside the Cathedral at its new Font. It has been designed to be perfectly still, – but the tourists’ like to play!!
Then back into town to see Gilbert – Salisbury’s Dragon. Passing again more ‘Drinking Holes’

Thanks Oldgunner - loved these photos. Beautiful place - the river photos are simply gorgeous and those stained glass windows are stunning. My, my you seem to have found quite a few 'watering holes' - your afternoon walk obviously made you a little thirsty!

Thanks Oldgunner, some nice looking watering holes you have around there. Its a very picturesque place isn't it? Shame the tourists disturbed the water it would have been a brilliant shot.

I love Salisbury too and I love the part of the country it's in. It would be my choice location if I was to move. Lovely pics, thanks for the tour.

Thanks oldgunner. Another trip down memory lane. If circumstances had been different thirty years ago it's where we would be living now. We both love Wiltshire, and a little village called Amesbury in particular. (Long sigh.....) Your photos are lovely :-)

Silverbelle - I'll make that my next photo trip. Amesbury is only 5 mins from my village.

Thank you OG and Fluff. I'll look forward to seeing all the photos you take. It'll be nice to see how much the village has changed. Oh, when I win the lottery...give you three guesses where I'll be heading for........;-))

Nice set of photo's OG. I remember Salisbury well, having worked near there in the '60s.

Very picturesque and what an unusual font. The inns don't look as though they've changed in hundreds of years !
