Hellebores

The double hellebores I bought a couple of years ago are flowering now and last year there was no sign of a white double in there although maybe it could be this one. Not as white as expected if it is. There should have been two of each but that’s not what I have.
The others are more or less what I bought. Double Ellen red splash, purple spotted, and pink spotted plus pink picotee.
The ones I had before buying the doubles have crossed and I have a few washed out colours
I have a small silver leafed which seems to have not enjoyed last years heat or maybe something else although there are a few seedlings growing next to it.
In the last few weeks there have been lots of bees out there so maybe I might get a few seeds out of the doubles.

You have some fine red doubles there. Isn't it frustrating the way they make you lift them up before you can admire them?
Don't knock the pretty seedlilng - its very attractive. I have one like that and like it very much.

Thank you everyone. It's been worth the wait but I'm still missing the white double so I might have to keep looking.

Lovely collection Thorney, I am gradually building mine up and must admit you've now provided more to add to my wishlist, they're a real asset to ones winter garden and I love the fact they don't have to be removed for the summer months, I just plant amongst them, find they don't mind and nor do my summertime or autumn flowers.....

Missed this blog earlier. Love the deep red double. Next door has one like this, I've taken seed, but the offspring are not the same.

lovely variation in the hellebores. Some of the paler ones are really pretty too.
