One Down One To Go

Hello everyone, firstly thank you so much for all your kind wishes. It really helps knowing others are rooting for us.
Richard had the first of his two operations, the one to remove a cancer from his lung, last Tuesday and I’m pleased to report it all went well. He came home yesterday, supporting stitches and some pretty horrible bruising, but in good spirits. He now finds he is tiring more easily, understandably, but at least things are moving.
He has to wait, according to his surgeon, about 3 to 4 weeks before they can operate again, this time on his bowel, then hopefully he will be cancer free. We daren’t think about the alternative.
Today, it rained for the first time in ages and that meant I didn’t have to water the plants in pots for once. Fingers crossed the sun returns tomorrow and he can sit on the swing in the garden, while I wait on him :-)

That's half the job done then - no wonder he's tired - just the effects of the anaesthetic can make you tired, let along the huge shock to the system. He sounds to be in good hands.
Am ordering some good weather for you for Monday.
