A short glimpse of our roses.

I think this year has been a wonderful time for roses – they must have loved the very wet winter when we were feeling so fed up of it!
They look beautiful in everyone’s gardens and must be giving so much pleasure.
I shall only add a few pictures as I am sure you are all enjoying your own gardens on these warm days.
In the cool of the evening I like to go out to do the dead – heading, a nice job at the end of the day.

What a fragrant way to end a day, Wildrose. We were told we wouldn't be able to grow roses on our soil but we do have one that we rescued from our daughter's garden. Must take an image to post here, It resembles the rose in your first photograph. Every now and then I bury a blackened banana around its roots for its potassium content. Seems to work.
