At home in the sunshine.

What a week of glorious weather we have had so far. It has really helped to cope with the hours of self-isolation.
We have spent each day in the garden, working some of the time and relaxing a bit more of the time!
Come with me to have a look but please stay 2 metres away!!

I will begin with an area that will not impress you very much! However, if you had seen it before yesterday, when the major tidy-up took place, you WOULD be impressed with the improvements! It is the space between our greenhouse and our garden shed and is very shaded, so it is a good spot to put any pots that like to be out of the sunshine. It was very cluttered and untidy.

Today, my husband rebuilt this table that we also keep in the shady spot. This also looks a lot better than it did yesterday!

The two flowering plants in our porch have come on in the warm weather and these latest photos are nicer than the last two I took. Prostanthera and jasmine.
If you have a moment to look closely, you will spot our seed potatoes on the floor!!

I started planting up this old bee hive a few years ago and it is looking quite pretty at the moment.

The wisteria growing by our back door is coming into bud, I hope we get lots of flowers on it!

I shall finish with one or two general photos of the garden today.

Here is a photo of our next task!

The area around our pond is a haven for celandines so they have to go!! Not looking forward to tackling those!

Stay safe and stay well everybody.

My Mothers Day flowers.
xx

Your garden looks absolutely gorgeous! And it is so inviting. We’ve had more cold cloudy rainy weather today. I only got a few jobs done...but better than nothing.

Your garden looks lovely in the sunshine and we all need somewhere to keep things out of sight. It all looks fine to me.
I love your Prostanthera. I used to have one like that and also a white one. They have a strange scent don't they ...

Fernever, I appreciate you keeping your distance!!
Karen, I think we have one more warmish, sunny day tomorrow and then......not so warm and not so sunny!
Hywel you are right about the scent, not sure if I like it to be honest! 🤔It might be better outside!

Your gardens view looks tidy to me, especially considering the size. I like your pond area, well filled, although I hope the Celandne doesn't take over.

I love your flowers for Mothers Day Chris ! Isn't it a shame we don't get to give all the family hugs !
The Prostanthera is lovely although I have never heard of it! Your garden is looking tidy and its good for us all getting out in the garden. We have had sunshine all week here but the wind has changed to the north now , so will be colder ! Take care and stay safe ! xx

Syris, thank you. I fear the celandine are winning at the moment and as there is a very cold wind blowing today, I do not feel like dealing with them!!

Rose, thank you. I think it is also known as the Australian Mint Bush! It has never done as well as this before. The wind today is very chilly here too. I am sure I can find a sheltered spot though if I try hard enough!

I think your garden is looking delightful Chris, and I too,had not heard of Prostanthera either, but it's very pretty..as is the Jasmine, the perfume must be wonderful. We have had a beautiful weather week to be in self isolation,so I guess most of us will have spent time enjoying it.Your Mother's Day flowers are so pretty,so all things considered,we all seem to have had a good week..PM on the way later xx

You’ve both been very busy, Chris! Very productive too! Jobs well done.
Bet the jasmine has a lovely scent! The prostanthera is something I hadn’t heard of, although the picture does ring a bell. The weather has been lovely this past week, I’ve been driving around the beautiful countryside, I’m very lucky to have a fab job looking after such lovely people..

Thank you Sandra and yes, the weather was on our side this week, to get us through this very alarming time. We might not be quite so lucky with it next week though! Never mind, you and I can devote ourselves to the kitchen and our cooking skills - or maybe not!!!

Kate the jasmine does have a lovely scent but it is a bit overpowering when it completely fills the house!!
It is so nice to hear how much you love your job Kate.

It's been wonderful weather, hasn't it ? unlike just now,as we have just had a snow shower, and it's bitterly cold ! Definitely a stay at home day, enforced or not ! As for the Kitchen,I think we both do a good job,I believe your egg and chips are legendary ? Lol .We are still here ,despite not being in the Cordon Bleu category,so that's all that matters..ha ha..xx

If anybody can get egg and chips wrong, I will be the one to do it!

I had to laugh at that Chris ! And I am definitely not in the Cordon Bleu category as Sandra said ! Hahaa!
Di you get my p.m. Chris ? xx
