Hi Val..:o) Just nicely got home..and I was so relieved to see it back on..thanks for your phone call,and I've just read your email ..ta :o)..and thanks for yours too,Pam and Terra..hope we get to find out what happened..I was thinking about it all the time we were out ..I had only been on around 11 ish,but it has been very quiet,so logged out..so it seemed unbelievable..I can do without this kind of excitement!! .....

it certainly looked like it this morning terra, it was Go Daddy and at the top of the page in red it said this site was waiting for renewal or deletion.

I know how you all feel, I have been without GoY contact for the last 2 weeks. Wonderful to log on again and see you all there, especially the overseas members.
I can hear Beryl saying "Whats the matter with them all Hywel ?" Ha ha.
Have to wait another 3 days until the new BT connection settles down, so still cant download emails in the pipeline until next Tuesday. Have a very good local Technician so am relying on him to restore my communication system. He did take my computer home for a thorough overhaul.
So its the ISP.

It said go daddy and I went off quick! Thought about buying the domain name meself lol! Glad we are all back on!!

it's not nice being without GOy Diane, made me feel really isolated this morning, if I don't comment I always have a peek at what is going on, hope your computer is up and running really soon for you.
Lulu, I had the same thought as you this morning about buying the domain but thought it might cost to much.

I have only just turned on so didn`t see it, I cannot even contemplate going without my Goy fix, I know its been quieter recently but that has helped me catch up on missed blogs, you never know I might even get through some of the pics, lol....

I was just about to say the same thing Lulu33, it was working fine until about 9 pmish..it is so slow, I am going to shut down, hopefully it will move a bit faster tomorrow.

I did, and it surprised me considerably. All my GoY chums, gone! I tried several GoY links, all led to same result.

Eventually I went into the sister site, the birdwatching one, and posted a quetion there; asked if anyone there knew what was happening here.

Someone suggested that I try "contact us" from that site, but by the time I read it GoY was back up again. Whew

Yes, my computer is fine now Lincs lass. What hit me was having to send messages by post, as my phone was cut off when they knew I was moving back to BT, then the BT engineers didnt turn up to put the new cable in. No computer and no phone for 2 weeks.
My new Wormery turned up, the instructions occupied my mind all that time. Then I found a Compost book with different instructions for Wormeries - I have now learned to leave it alone. Its in my kitchen Temp.18 deg.C. against the wall.
The worms were £18. I have now learned a gardening friend laid a large piece of cardboard on his lawn overnight and in the morning he had enough Red Worms to stock his Compost Bin - free of charge.
We live and learn.

Oh dear,Diane..sorry to hear you have been without your Computer and phone..I've only been without my laptop for two days,and it was too long! Those red worms just appear as if by magic,in a compost bin,and usually either die off or reappear in the spring.My bin is always full of them..good little workers :o)

Now I like the idea of a GoY facebook. It's easier to share stuff and you can talk privately or publicly in real time....I wonder...........not that I would't come on here as well!

I did fo facebook, Lulu, but I had to give up, the display was too much of a strain for me; too small, hard to read - lol I spent most of my time in there playing a game, since none of my family or friends ever answered my posts!

But this recent scare has shown how vulnerable we are; all linked by only one thread - maybe we need a backup, a just-in-case.

Is it just me but at 7.15am Goy is really slow, other sites are almost instant, goy is painfully slow for me

Mainly fine here,but a really cold wind..I've just braved going outside to plant a dozen Polyanthus,I bought on Saturday..it didn't take long.! :o)

Very brave.....I just went to get sticks to light the fire, by then the wind had got up here........
