Because this is a nice forum full of nice genteel folk i wont swear, but i know you are reading my mind so, sorry for the bad language anyway :)))
Yup big fat flakes are coming down, spoiling my plans this weekend. I was going to jetwash ( bought a new powerfull jetwasher)and treat the decking, we bought one of those electric mop things which you attatch bottles of decking stain/oil. I chose a darker colour this year, hoping it will last longer than the usual 12 months!

Plans.. last week I emptied a small border in the back garden, instead of cramming it full of plants i decided to go minimal, sort of a bit med, I placed a huge pot in the middle, when i say placed i mean i huffed and puffed and swore (again) but i done it, I dug out 2 big daddy hostas from other areas of the garden ( a couple of tenna lady moments there lol ) re’sited a Fascicularia in to the raised bed and cut my arms to bits, I didnt feel a thing, just saw the blood :) Then i planted 3 acorus gramineus ogon round the front of the pot border (path side) a lovely bright arching grass, The pot had a huge jade plant (i think) which died over winter so i cut it down, just waiting for the weather to warm up and plant it with succulents to gently trail over the edge.
Im a member of a tropical forum and i get a lot of ideas and inspiration from there, one of the members has made a couple of these and im going to copy them :) maybe a largish one to put on the fence behind my Compost bins, I usually have a couple of baskets there but they are awkward to water so i think this is perfect to place there ..

I hate my shed but can’t afford to replace it so im doing it up this year (i hope) I have an idea using bamboo round the windows and on the slanted roof, change the pots and plants that ive used for years and maybe a succulent frame (as above) on the righthand fence, scrape the glass paint off the windows and!!! We will see.

All sorted Daisy, a very good blog, your garden always looks good and I 've always liked all your foliage planting, I think that basket in the pic is fabulous and would love to have one planted up like that, wonder how many plants it has in it.
Your shed would look good edged with similar sort of planting, a roof garden, I'm hoping hubby will make me a cubby for my wheelie bins so I can try a small one and disguise them.........
