welcome Nik. nice to know there are plenty of males in nursing. my brother has just retired from elderly care in the north east.

i am considered strange by my work colleagues because i actually want to garden.

No SBG.....its your colleagues who are strange....or at least unenlightened about the joys of gardening.

I agree Gilli, my friends said i was turning into an old man but it's going to be them who'll want to come and relax in my garden when the sun is shining. Perhaps i sholuld charge an entry fee ;-)

ooh yes that sounds good, I now have a regular stream of visitors (family hehe)
just recently they always seem to bring me cuttings, paint,compost,pots... much nicer than money although that also would be very handy
