My Lovely Garden

I’m so pleased with my garden. When i lived in my 2nd floor flat i used to think about how nice it would be to have a garden. I then moved into a modest 2 bed terraced with a very unkempt garden. After spending time on the inside it was time to do the outside. The front Garden was all pea gravel (12ft sq) but now it as been lawned with nice borders with tubs which have hardy Fuschia’s in them and an apple blossom tree in the middle which is doing very well.
The back garden had a large concrete base at the end with a mass of pea gravel, a concrete path up the right, an overgrown hedge, twine weed and a filthy patio which had never been cleaned.
I decided to dig up the path place it with the pea gravel and deck over it. After chopping back the hedge and fencing the entire length of the garden, not only did this make it more private but also made it look so much more clean looking.
i then decked over yet more pea gravel ( i think the previous owners had a special offer on pea gravel) around the pation area after running electrics out there for the nice warm summer evenings. The patio looked like new after i jet washed it. My wife and i then went on a pot mission to put our new plants in…..a big thankyou to my mum who is better than any other garden centre….. i got a good deal on a chimney of of e.bay.
My favourite part of the garden is the little zen garden up by the decking. I was given some bamboo to hide a piece of ugly fence and bought a large pot and made a pot pond with some aquatic plants and some rocks around it.
It will be hard work but i can’t wait to see the result next year from the Clematis and the Honeysuckle that’s gone in.

Had to sit down for a rest after the list of all your hard work LOL. You now have the satisfaction of a job well done and you can sit back now and plan your next move. That is the suegreat thing with gardening always something new to try and always plants springing up from the soil into another beautiful creation.Sue
