I know the main news this evening is to find out how spritzhenry’s first opening under the Yellow Book scheme went. But I suspect we may not get a report until tomorrow after all the hard work and recovery.
So I’m going to post a few pictures of my garden instead as I had a group visiting this evening.

What a fantastic garden!! How many times do you hope to open it this year Andrew? It's hard work opening by "appointment" isn't it? I used to open mine over June and July, for evening groups....it was exhausting!

It's such a lovely garden - so many pretty plantings. The pond area is a stunner and so that rose bush. Would enjoy a little wander along those pathways! There's such a lot to see and enjoy - great job.

Thanks for all your generous comments.
Jacques - the sale plants are always on display but it was a small group (just 12 people) and I only sold three plants
Crazydi - I have one general opening this year on August 9th and then three groups booked for two days later! Apart from this evening's visitors, that is all I have booked unless I get any more requests

Looks really good Andrew, just a shame your visitors were not so inclined to put their hands a little deeper into their pockets to purchase a few more plants.

Andrew, it's beautiful.

Thanks for this, Andrew - I always enjoy looking at your beautiful garden. I am waiting until after the 11th to write the blog, but I have commented elsewhere that it was a very successful day.
Lovely photos! :-) I'm glad it went well - apart from the plant sales, that is!

Morgana - the rose is 'Cardinal de Richelieu' - there should be a close-up photo of it under the 'Garden' tag on my home page (on page 5 I think)
