~ Now that my photos have all been downloaded I will let you have my view of a fraction of what was on offer ~ hope more of you can go next year~ it’s well worth it!

Just on the way in there was this fantastic stand selling copper and wooden garden sculpture~

The floral exhibits are usually gorgeous and didn’t disappoint~

The miniatures are always so exquisite

The larger floral exhibits are wonderful, but difficult to take photos of!

not sure what these girls were doing exactly but it looks edible so can’t be bad!

A yummy Cornish Pasty – about 15 inchs wide! Wow!

We spent most of our time in the Food and Veg Halls, but these plants caught my eye.

There are always some brill bonsai trees.

Some great veg displays

This garden display caught my eye.

My daughter was with me and we spent most of our time in the Food Hall, so there were loads of the show exhibits and vendors we did not see. However, we were nevertheless totally k*******d at the end but it’s such a good Show I would happily have gone for a second day. Highly recommended.

~Thanks Alice~
I haven't been to Harrogate as it's too far for us but it sounds good!
I bought Gentians but wish I had got the saxifraga too.
It is available from this nursery #
www.plantsforshade.co.uk/acatalog/Saxifraga.html - Long Acre plants. ~they also have one called Musgrove pink which looks lovely!

Thanks!~yes that was one stunning exhibit Indy~I would have loved a better view with it on it's own but they were quite packed in and it was really busy!
I hope SWIWOL? Have I got that right? is a lot better today!.

If you put that pic up in your photos I would add it as a fave, Its not often I'm impressed by a bonsai, there are too many sub standard botches going about but that one is absolutely gorgeous and the turning of colour on the top is sooo so pretty. I wish I could grow one like it!
She who is worthy of love is getting stronger every day, thanks!

Beautiful blog Arlene, loved the little rabbit and owl so cute the minitures were exquisit, loved the flower arrangements too. Love the gentians, I had my eye on these when I went to Dobbies ;o) but were too much for my pocket, and the bonsai were lovely and the veg and fuit displays how clever they arrange them. Love the 1st sculpture.

Photo put on now Indy!
Morgana ~they were selling 3 small gentians for £7 or 3 large ones for £9 which wasn't too bad~must admit I have seen them more expensive than that!
I loved the owl and the rabbits too!

I too loved the bonsai group planting, also the fourth one - and the gentiana stand with the saxifrages. Great to tour the show from a comfy seat.
Glad to see SWIWOL is recovering well, Indy - that must have been the worst day of your life.

Have to admit I do hanker after a Bonsai tree but know nothing about them so never plucked up courage to give it a go. like the sculptures, especially Mr Owl and the floral displays are lovely.Beautiful photo`s Arlene, thanks for sharing.........

The Gentian I seen was 4.99 each these were small ones too, so they were a bargain.

I believe the Bonsai forest is a single plant, layered with the runners trained upwards like trees in a forest. Truly a work of dedication and skill which make it even more special.

Hi Hywel~we spent more than 45 mins watching the horses and another hour sorting out which greenhouse I wanted!~ ~the food areas and the promotion on apples and pears on were great~some of the apples were the size of pumpkins!~we just needed more time to get around and another pair of legs!
