~ just an update to say the bees have it!~ and to thank everyone who voted!
As of this morning the bee project in Pembrokeshire polled 59% of the vote and the second highest The John Muir Trust polled 18%~ that’s a massive win for the bees and I think shows how concerned we are about our wildlife and our food supplies.
Many thanks everyone~
Arlene~

Good news, Arlene. I enjoyed seeing so many bees in the garden last summer so hope this ensures we will all be seeing them in the future.

~ thanks everyone on GOY and our relatives plus the colleagues who I work with who also voted~ I'm buzzing myself!

I would have loved to have shown you a photo of the wild flower meadow In Perth and Kinross which has been developed in conjunction with the RSPB but of course I don't have the copyright ~ it can be viewed on their site but this gives you a flavour of what can be done~

taken from the BBCT website~
The 20 acre meadow is in Perth and Kinross, beside Loch Leven, and is a partnership between BBCT and RSPB Scotland.

It was originally a field of grass, but was ploughed and sown with a wildflower seed mix, which was kindly funded by SNH.(Scottish National Heritage)

Now in its second year, the wall-to-wall perennial wildflowers are proving to be a big hit with local bumblebee populations, which are thriving. Visitors to the RSPB's Vane Farm nature reserve can enjoy the meadow too!

This is also an example of various trusts working together for a common aim which is also very heartening!

I don't know when they will start on the work or how long it will take but the sooner the better if seeds have to be sown~will give an update when I can!
Whoo hoo!

hi arlene,I dont live that far from kinross but I have not been to see the wild flower meadow ,will do now, seeing that you have mentioned it I dont have any animals but I love your your dogs face it keeps drawing me to it .

~ it probably won't look much this time of year but once the wild flowers start to bloom it will be gorgeous~it sounds as though it is part of the RSPB site so not sure if you might have to pay for access?
