Thanks Karen! I am pleased with the way it came to life...that would be my dream...portraits of children. A friend's granddaughter came out quite well too...I just love doing them, almost as much as gardening..ha ha!
It's been very cold, blustery and wet today...worse tomorrow... How are you doing in Scotland? Another month and you'll be a busy bee with your open day to look forward to...xx

Lovely paintings. The dog and the little girl are great.

We had a decent enough day today once the rain stopped Janey. I managed a couple of hours outside after a trip to the GC with Rachel. The sun came out and it was so lovely....it made me feel like Spring isn't too far away now. I love this time of year when you get a good day...its so exciting to see the new shoots coming out of the ground.

Janey your paintings are amazing you could definitely sell them , I love the one of Alex its so true to life you clever girl ,you have so many hidden talents xx

Well Janey, its doing very well. She has snowdrops that she planted last year, and today we dug out three huge phlox which were far too big for her narrow borders, and planted a rose, a jasmine and an evergreen clematis. So it looks good now. Bare, but ready for the spring. I don’t know how much longer we will have her....I think she will be moving down to the south of England in a year or so. But time will tell. Her BF is a Helicopter Engineer in REME. And most of the helicopters are down south...but he may have to travel about a lot yet. But I think she will go with him soon. So I am just helping her keep it neat and tidy.

I have looked through all your lovely paintings,over and over again,Janey,and I am amazed you haven't taken your talent further..they are all amazing,with such attention to detail ..such expression in the eyes of the portraits too..you really should market some,or/and have an exhibition....Your 'hidden 'talent should no longer be hidden..go for it girl :o) x

You've been a busy bee Karen, you seem to spend so much time out there when the weather is at its coldest and worst...you must now be a hardy Scot!
They grow up and grow away...mmm.....you're going to miss her, but a happy daughter means a happy Mum...and holidays down south!!...:))
