Last month I had the opportunity to travel with my daughter in Italy. I had been there last September and was eagar to see the gardens in another season. Spent some time in Umbria , Florence and Cinque Terra. Here are some photos from that time.

and me! can just picture sitting at a table with a red tablecloth overlooking the glittering lake garda; in front of me is the temptingly delicious and oh so refreshing lemon and champagne ice cream that a restaurant in Limone makes so well!

Wonderful pictures Nancy, making me have itchy feet again and I dont need much encouragement to go to Italy. My favourite place! I even learned the language many years ago for business trips.
I do like your pictures of the Banksia Rose and the wisteria. Gorgeous!! I do hope you didnt get lost wandering from flower to flower!

Been busy with garden and plant sales Sticki. Ive so many plants to look after. Trouble is, I have to keep watering some, let others stay a bit dryer, feed the hungry roses and clems and tie them up (Ive got about 30 odd clems) and put in longer sticks de da de da...
As you can see, Im still catching up..cant believe I missed these blogs by Nancy..they are wonderful and bring back some happy memories too...

Absolutely beautiful photos Nancy! What about that yellow rose? Is it a rose? It is so tiny! Stunning! :))
12 Feb, 2012
The small yellow rose is called Lady Banks Rose...rosa banksiae lutea.

Thank you nancym. I wondered if it might be that, but it looks different...I guess that's because it's in Italy!
