Watercolors

Since it has been raining for over a week now , indoor activities are the order of the day. I have been busy painting(another way of preserving my garden). I have done three versions of my irises from this season all with different backgrounds. I haven’t decided which one I like best but I thought I might as well share the results here. The digital camera has changed some color slightly but that’s ok. One is dark green, one is pastel colors and the third is beige.

It's nice to meet other people with the same interests. These are beautiful. I do more drawing than painting but like you I enjoy doing things in my garden. I like to do old buildings aswell. You've got a garden full of wonderful flowers so I should think there's plenty to keep you going..

Initially I thought I prefered the black background but looking at them closer I think its the pastel one iI would choose if I were buying.

You are very talented! I used to paint in oils but never to that standard. I enjoyed doing it, it was very relaxing. I don't really know why i haven't picked up a brush for such a long time. Maybe I should have another go BUT I won't be showing anyone else - just not up to your standard....

Wonderful! Do you sell your paintings? Photos of them would make lovely greetings cards. I'm sure gardeners would love to buy them.
