A Woodland Walk before Lunch

My brother and sister in law visited us the other day with four of their Grandchildren, thought we would take them for a little walk before going for lunch at our local pub The Roaches Lock which is on the Canal side
Meet My Brother Bill and Skye, Scarlett, Liam, and Ruby and my husband Harry.
First we stopped to feed the Ducks who looked like they were playing Ring aRing a Roses lol
Then across the bridge at the Locks, The children were really interested in the Locks but what a pity that there were no boats going through!
The children had a great time chasing around in this woodland area
We were all feeling peckish as we made our way back, looking forward to a nice lunch in the cosy Pub
After the first course, it was time for Dessert!
Skye chose a Knicker Bocker Glory
Scarlett preferred Ice Cream
And so did Liam
And Little Ruby followed suit
Guess who chose this Whopper, my Baby Brother Bill lol
After a lovely family day it was time to say Goodbye to “The Roaches” and the Family *

Many thanks to evereyone for your kind remarks
We are very fortunate as this walk is on our doorstep, its one we did everyday with our little Scottie Polly before she passed away. The Roaches Loch Pub is very homely and the food is great and the whole place is geared towards families.

What a lovely way to end a walk, a good meal and yummy desserts. I wonder if your woods are full of fallen acorns? It's like walking on marbles here :)

Thanks Gee not seen many Oak trees in our local woodland mainly Birch, Maple Sycamore and Beech, used to love collecting acorns when I was small and making little acorn people out of them;0)
